Dear Anchor

Have you ever had something you needed to get off your chest, but didn’t know who to tell? Do you ever feel the need to voice your opinion but don’t know how to make your voice heard? Look no further than Dear Anchor, a section of Voices that will publish open letters written by students about personal, campus, or global issues. This year, Voices wants to give Hope students a chance to speak their mind in a real, concrete way, that other students will be able to access and respond to. If you or someone you know has something to say, please go to our Google form and leave your letter there. We want to hear what you have to say!

Katie DeReus (‘22) is the Campus section editor this semester. She is a political science major and enjoys being involved in vocal music at Hope. She is the class of 2024’s Nykerk music coach, and is looking forward to where that journey will take her. After college, she is planning to attend law school. Katie’s favorite parts about working at The Anchor are the relationships that she’s been able to build, and the opportunity to present the unique viewpoints of Hope students to the rest of the student body.
