On Friday April 15 around 4:30 p.m., Hope College’s student-run radio WTHS 89.9 FM was notified of a Summary Suspension under Title IX. The news of the suspension was surprising to the station’s executive board and not much is known concerning the reason for the suspension.
“We’re working on resolving this properly and promptly,” WTHS general manager Jhon Volk Dunbar said.
As the reason for the suspension is still an ongoing investigation, the executive board is unable to make any further comments. All WTHS local programs will be on hold for an indefinite amount of time. No further information has been made public.
